= Blueprints for the GIS Module =

The original GIS module is described here:

We use [http://http://openlayers.org OpenLayers] to display Maps with a few [http://mapfish.org MapFish] widgets.[[BR]]
We plan to use an integrated [http://mapserver.org MapServer] to display Shapefiles & Images[[BR]]
Q: Are we better-off supporting [http://geoserver.org GeoServer]?[[BR]]
(!MapFish & !OpenGeo do this. [http://geoserver.org GeoServer] uses OpenLayers as native preview)
