    165165We make a little use of jQuery.validate already - currently just for the registration page. It would be good to extend this and provide a nice consistent API to report errors, which should work on both Bootstrap & other Themes. The existing 'required' flag should be picked-up & validated automatically.

     167NB We already have an API for displaying  'page-level' errors: S3.showAlert() in S3.js. What is missing is a field-level display mechanism.
