Map Printing

We want to be able to Print maps.

We would like to avoid having to use Java like these do:

• ​MapFish
  • wiki:InstallationGuidelinesGISDataPrinting InstallationGuidelines]
  • Reasons why Java was chosen: ​http://trac.mapfish.org/trac/mapfish/wiki/Proposals/PrintModuleSpec
• ​Geomajas

3 potential Python libraries:

• ​ReportLab
  • ​rST2PDF
• ​XHTML2PDF (Pisa)
• ​PyPDF

A JavaScript library:

• ​JSPDF

Other:

PDF export will be a representation added to the RESTlike controller.

Printing the current view would be the same as printing a WebMapContext.
