Introduction

The Sahana community helped DERA to deploy and configure Sahana software to use initially for incident management.

Current Features

DERA currently use a number of forms to managed incidents which are based on ICS.

Events

Large scale events which are managed by DERA, eg.

  • Northern York County Regional Operations
  • NEMA Tabletop Exercise
  • Farmers Fair

Smaller incidents which occur during an event, eg:

SitRep

A daily summary of an event. Resource Name: doc_sitrep
Current Form: Situation Report: ICS 209 which is based on ICSFormsWorkbook:209 AR / ICS 209

Planned Features

Checklists

Pre-defined checklists which can be filled out (single click + timestamp) during events / incidents / shifts.

Current Forms:

A solution still needs to be designed for checklists.

Incident Action Plan (IAP)

Current Form: NEMA Ebola IAP.docx

Design Options:

  1. Allow this to be attached to an Event (not Incident right?) as a file?
  2. Record sections within Incident / event.

Sections:

  • Objectives - add another table
  • Current Situation - aggregate from SitRep?
  • Emergency Procedures - add another table
  • Staff Assigned - from people assigned
  • References - attach docs to event / incident

Provide an option to generate a single IAP document.
