Adding a project on the Sahana Software will give you a chance of responding effectively to disasters in your community, and probably to the neighbouring communities as well. This software has been used, for example to enable effective disaster response during the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Instructions on how to create your project.

1.On the Sahana home page, click on the project button.

Required fields
(These are fields that you will be required to fill when editing your project. Only the first two fields are extremely necessary to create a project, that is, 'Lead implementor' and 'Name')
  1. Lead Implementer(Add the Name of the Organization)
  2. Name(Fill in the name of the project you are starting up.)
  3. Description(Describe the project)
  4. Status
  5. Start date
  6. End date
  7. Budget
  8. Currency
  9. Sector
  10. Contact person
  11. Comments

4.Save your project by clicking on the save button.

You will see a page confirming that your project has been added.
