Sahanathon '14

What

A 24-hour Hackathon where we aim to work together on some tasks, which could be solving bugs, implementing new features, writing test cases, keywords on the new testing framework (EdenTest). This will focus on doing things together, where one could help the others.

Where

You could join in physically at IIIT-Hyderabad or even join in virtually on the IRC Chat (#sahana-eden on irc.freenode.net or http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=sahana-eden&uio=d4).

When

  • Time: 5pm IST
  • Date: 15th - 16th November 2014.
  • Location: IIIT-Hyderabad, India.

Anyone & Everyone! If you've been interested in getting involved with the Sahana Community or want to see how Sahana Eden can be used, then this is your chance. How to Participate

Read the Book & Wiki

The Sahana Community has prepared a Sahana Eden Essentials Book which is the best guide for new developers getting started. There's also heaps of documentation to help people on the wiki. Try starting on the Develop page or see the TitleIndex for a list of all wiki pages.

Tasks to Work On

  • Tasks for Sahana Sunflower
  • Tasks for the [Deployments/DERA DERA Deployment]
  • [Deployments/CAR#Tasks Tasks] for the [Deployments/CAR Central African Republic Deployment]

Schedule

This is not a fixed schedule but only a rough outline. Time mentioned here is in IST.

  • 15th Nov, 5PM : Contributors pick Tasks that they would like to work on.
  • 15th Nov, 5:30PM : Start "hacking"
  • 15th Nov, 9PM - 10PM : Dinner
  • 15th Nov, 10PM onwards : Continue working
  • 16th Nov, 12noon : Gather and Discuss progress
  • 16th Nov, 12-2PM : Relevant documentation, Wrapping up, etc.
